House in Ooi 1+1=3

静かな環境の住宅地に白いキューブの上にグレーのキューブが重なり、上に載ったグレーのキューブは引き上げられた外箱のように見えます。そして敷地の反対側にもう一つの白いキューブがあり将来ご夫婦に二世が誕生した時には、もう一つのキューブがその上に出来ます。平面図に見るそれらの二つのキューブの間に生まれるボーナス空間が１＋１＝３となります。青空を天井にとてもプライベートな空間が大井の町の中に在ります。それら三つのキューブを繋ぐのが四角いチューブ状のガラス回廊です。

 

A grey cubic box sits on a white cubic box as if a grey cubic box is an outer box and a white one is an inner one. This residence is located in a calm environment in the town called OOI in TOKYO. By putting another white cubic box at the other side of the premise, which is invisible from the street, in fact another void cubic box space is born in between. It is a bonus space meaning of 1+1=3. This void cubic box brings not only dazzling sunshine in a fine day or groaning thunderbolt in a rainy day but also offers a private open deck for the family. Also a glass tube connects those three boxes as its gallery.
